cheap building materials
When designing/building my models, I try to streach my modeling dollar as much as possible by using materials from altermate sources.
For example...
Blue foam from building suppliers or building sites, for wing tips, cowl formers etc -
1/16, 1/8 and 1/4 baltic birch purchased by the 4' by 8' sheet costs only $25.00 Cdn from plywood suppliers -
Bulk fiberglassing materials from a local boat supplier are significantly cheaper than the individualized packages from the hobby suppliers and
Latex paint from the "Big Box" stores.
All these pennies add up over time.
What do you do to save a buck when it comes to building materials??
