Kitting 4*60 and Ulta Sport 60
For this winter project I have plans for a 4*60 and a Ultra sport 60 and plan to built them from scartch. Has anyone ever done this for either plane? Does anyone have a list of materials (wood mainly) that I could use? Or how about a copy of the instruction booklet? I have built planes from scratch before, but any help would be appreciated!

Im currently scratchbuilding an Ultra Sport 60 from the RCM plans.
Its plan number 1048. Check out the August 1989 issue of RCM.
A copy of the construction article comes with the plans.
The RCM plans service IS still in business.
You can also download a PDF of the construction manual for the
Great Planes Ultra Sport 60 kit.

RE: Kitting 4*60 and Ulta Sport 60
A club mate of mine built a 4*60 from plans. He modified as follows:
Weighs 4.9 lbs RTF
Stick built
raised wing 1 inch
two piece plug in wing with CF tubes for LE
lowered elevator 3/4 in
increased elevator and added counter balances
Increased rudder
clipped wing by 1 bay
1 deg dihedral
No lite ply except for LG and firewall
Powered by an AXi 4120-14, 17x10 APC-E on 3s4p LiPo. It 3D's well.
Not sure it's really a 4*60 anymore but people do recongnize it as a 4*60.
