Default tow hook location - flying wing

I tried to tow launch a flying wing that I designed, but when I released, the model just got dragged forward with its nose in the air. I placed the hook at a 45 degree angle from the 1/4 chord, but obviously this is not right.
The glider flies fine otherwise. Any suggestions?

Default RE: tow hook location - flying wing

Flying wings have so little pitch authourity that some I've seen have a pivoted hook where the pivot is placed just barely ahead of the balance point. Like less than 5% of the chord. The pivoting hook is allowed to swivel from about 45degrees ahead to maybe vertical or 5 degrees back. The pivot being up within the wing airfoil or immediately below the lower surface. This lets the wing pitch authourity deal with the nose down pitching force from the line.

If you wing has a fuselage and it's 45degrees from teh balance point to the bellly it's quite possible that it's just way to far forward for it to deal with the nose down pitching of the line pull.
