Enlarging LT .40 to Fit 25cc Glow
Can anyone tell me what percentage I should enlarge my Sig LT .40 plans to fit a SuperTigre 2500? Is there a plane with a similar planform and flight character to use the 2500 on without altering my LT .40 plans?
Thanks, Cliff

Cliff,
Here are the links to some of the Bridi planes that he originally had a 2500 engine on. These are new kits that are currently available. I've flown or have some of these planes. The Killer Bee is the one I havn't been around. I have a lot of Stick type planes and these fly about the same.

About a 40% increase would make a LT 40 into a 100" span? That should to be about right? The fuselage on the LT40 is slim so they shouldn't have much drag? Would you call it a LT 2500? You would have your existing LT40 plans blown up at the print shop. You wouldn't destroy them.
The Robinhoods are just a big LT40. Especially if you put a cowl on one. They have a lot of drag with no cowl.
The Robinhood 80 flys with plenty of gusto with a OS 91 Surpass so it would be too small
A Robinhood 99 might be OK if you make the tail light and mount the engine far forward.
The Robinhoods look pretty good with a OX 5 cowl on them from Fiberglass Specialties. $$
Enjoy,
Jim
