Help needed with installing/securing wing tubes
I am doing a scratch built Bellanca C-27 - aka "The Flying W" - 96" span, OS 160 for power.
Due to the struts and flying wires connecting the lifting struts to the wing, I will have to have
about 10" of wing permanently attached to each side of the fuselage. This will not allow access
to the inside of the fuselage except through hatches in the bottom for the receiver, servos, ect.
I need some ideas for installing and securing the wing tubes for a 3 piece wing.
Thanks

Help needed with installing/securing wing tubes
One method to consider would be to use two tubes. One located and built into the main spar. The other one as far back in the wing as possible and built into a second spar. Use the thicker wall aluminum tube, some plywood ribs, and the phenolic tube guide. Built in some hardwood blocks that you will drill through and into the tube. Tap the tube. Use #6 flat head machine screws to secure the tubes in place. The only thing seen, if one looks, would be the head of the screw on the underside of the wing.
It worked for me.
