2 piece wing ideas?
I'm building a 40% Emeraude. The wing has dihedral and is shown as 1 piece on the plans. It's 126" long so I need to make it 2 pieces to fit in my truck. If it didn't have dihedral, I'd just drill some in the ribs and install an aluminum tube ala 99% of the aerobatic giant scale models out there. But, with the dihedral, I'm stumped as to how to make it 2 pieces and still be really strong. A set up with plywood stub spares like a Cub or something would scare me to death doing even basic aerobatics so I need something beefy.
Any ideas?

RE: 2 piece wing ideas?
Mike, why not make it a three piece wing? I don;t know the Emeraude, but maybe a separation at the inboard ends of the ailerons would work. That might give you two smaller and oen larger piece. I did the same thing on my DC 3, except I separated at the outboard edge of the engine nacelles. Just take at look at how some of the 1/4,1/2 scale aerobats do it with aluminum or carbon tubes and metalb or composite rods. It really shouldn't be a problem.

Draw up a front view of the wing, with the dihedral.
Place the aluminum tube on the drawing to see where it goes thru the ribs.
Cut the holes in the ribs to match.
