RIGHT;DOWN;UPTHRUST FUNTANNA 40
I'm rebuilding a wreck I experienced on a Funtanna 40s. Can anyone tell me what the Right thrust measurement is and also if there is any down or up thrust? I have to rebuild the nose which is currently in various pieces... some small...some large.
Thanks for any info. you can provide.

Those types of planes usually have a bit of right thrust and no up or downthrust. The amount of side thrust depends on the design of the plane and needs to be test flown to determine how much.

If only I had taken some measurements when it was new before I crashed it. It looked like it might have been about two degrees if memory serves me right but I never measured it and now is too late. The wing is rebuilt but I still have to rebuild the fuse. I normally build from plans and don't have but just a couple of Arfs. The downside to an arf is no plans for those unfortunate mishaps.

I wouldn't worry to much about it, Bill, If it looks like it has a bit of right thrust, that's probably good enough. I won't do anything bad in the air. It's just fine tuning. I scratch build a lot of planes and just use an educated guess. Very seldom do I have to change it. More important with pattern type planes where it makes more of a difference. Have fun The one in my avatar is a homebuilt 25 size.
