Default My scratch build Extra 300

Hey there, I started this plane some months ago and thought I would post some pictures here. I left it a bit forgotten a month ago or so because I haven´t got much time now but the plane is currently pretty much in a ARF state so whenever I have a few days free further on I will put all the radio installation and test it. I´m very looking forward to it . The plan calls for a 46 or 61, I´ll put a 61 and made the elevator surfaces a bit bigger hopefully it does 3D (though I doubt it ).

OUTSTANDING job on that cowl !!! I don't even want to think how long that took. The rest of plane looks pretty good too.

Nice to see that you like it . Not at all, the cowl took me only one and a half day, I actually had to design it myself 'cause I didn´t like how it was done in the original plan; taking 1 cm balsa gluiing them together and sanding it afterwards so i made some formers sheeted them with balsa and glued a piece of balsa in the front to shape the front. Sadly, I was recommended to use it as a mold for fiber glassing it, the whole fiber glass stuck to it afterwards even after having used liquid wax and I had to destroy the mold . That was the new cowl, its not that I´m not happy with it but I think I will do another one. Greetings

That's the plane with the cowl, I still have to paint it and all that stuff but honestly I want to make at first the maiden flight to see how it flies and then I will make the last "tuning". Byee
