Default Plan upsizing???

I purchased the plans for the Fan Trainer from Model Airplane News. It is ~36" span design using a .049 pusher. I was wondering about how much should I enlarge the plans to be able to use a .25 engine instead of the .049. Would 150% be enough or should I 2x it or something in between?

Thanks for any input.

Default RE: Plan upsizing???

For a .25 size engine 1.3 times to get to a 47 to 48 inch span should be fine. 48'ish inch and between 400 to 500 sq inches is a great size for a .25 IMHO.
