locating a scale dummy radial
Im scratching a 96in GeeBee and having trouble finding a nice dummy radial to set inside the ring. Anybody know of some places I can find one? Or even plans to build one. Here are a couple Pic s in the bones.

RE: locating a scale dummy radial
Depending on the size you need, Williams Brothers is back in operation. If their radials are too small, Tower has a 1/5 scale 9 cylinder dummy radial. The engine itself is about 9" in diameter.
If you need to expose the rear half also, you will need 2 of them. I am doing a scratch built Boeing P-26 Peashooter and needed to use 2 since the rear half of the radial is clearly visible.
The 1/5 scale may not be listed on the web site, however if you call them, they can provide it. They run about $13- each.

RE: locating a scale dummy radial
I bought a TF dummy radial for my 1/8 scale Wildcat and I am rather disappointed with it.
Look at the Frank Tiano ones instead:

The TF ones are just very flimsy, I "painted" the inside of mine
with PU glue, which helped, but I am still going to get a Tiano resin one.
The only reason to use the TF one is if you are already nose heavy (yeah right!)
as I am sure the cast resin one weighs a lot more than the vac-formed ABS.
