Default cockpit combing material

Plans call for 1/4" tubing for the cockpit combing. I've used fuel tubing in the past but then had to paint it. Anyone know if you can just buy brown or black tubing? Any other materials that would be suitable for this? Thanks

Go to your local auto parts dealer and ask to look at the various hoses they have. some windshield washer hose might be just what you need. Of coarse you would have to slit it up one side but that is not hard to do.

Thanks for the tip. Went to a Napa store and they just gave me a few different sized scraps they had. One worked perfect.
