Scale Formula
Ok I confess, I'm not good at math anymore, I need help.
I need to scale down the following by 1/16:
Span: 103 ft. 10 in.
Length: 74 ft. 4 in.
Height: 19 ft. 1 in.
I used to remember the forumla for this but I have forgotten, anyone care to enlighten me? Thanks!

RE: Scale Formula
Wait, that does work, then I just figured out how to get the inches as well.
Example:
Feet; 103 Feet / 16 = 6.4375 (round to 6.44)
Now for inches; 12 inches * .44 (or 44%) = 5.28 inches (round down to 5.25 inches).
Final; 6ft, 5 1/4 inches
Am I right?

RE: Scale Formula
PerfectH-
You scaled 103' . 103'/ 16 = 6.44' .... 12" * .44 (or 44%) = 5.28" (round down to 5.25") = 6' 5.25"
He scaled 103' 10" . (103 X 12)" + 10" / 16 = 77.875" = 6' 5.875" (5 & 7/8)

The 10in of the wingspan (103ft one). But when I do it his method, and then do it my method, I get two different measurements, which would be more accurate?

Go download [link=http://joshmadison.net/software/convert/]CONVERT.EXE[/link]. It's free and works like a charm.

No, it's suppost to be measurements for a B-17 Flying Fortress. But I postponed that project for now. Right now I'm sketching out a F6F Hellcat.
