Default Yak 54 3-View?

In all this discussion of the Yak 54, has anybody come across a decent 3 view drawing for the beast? I like to tinker and it always starts with a 3 view drawing...

Thanks,
Mark

Thanks for both of these.

Phil, I did find one of the 54 previously but this looks to be a better quality.

Heh,

Be careful with this 3-view Mark. I used the exact same one to do my design and found out that the views are not symmetrical. Not a big deal but thought you'd want to know.

Cheers,

John

Well, prepare to be happy. In researching three views for my next project today, I came across this gem. I wish I had found it when I started my yak 54 build last year. Even has fuse cross sections.

Good luck with your design.

John

Hey John,

Thanks for the update and new 3 view. I am so swamped with work right now I don't even have time to build a KIT, let alone a scratch build... But eventually I will get there, the work will not last forever like this. The lack of symmetry probably won't be an issue, as I will generate my own CAD 3 view by scaling dimensions from the jpeg and drawing it from scratch. I only draw one side, then mirror it, so it will be symmetrical if not perfectly scale.

Kevin,

What I do is open the jpg in MS photo editor or similar and enlarge the view to as big as possible on the screen. Do a screen print (Alt+Print Screen gets you the active window only) and then paste it into a blank drawing. Then just trace over it with AutoCAD and delete the jpg when finished. It's not perfect, but it is pretty good and only takes a few minutes to generate a decent vector 3 view drawing to build with.
