Default 100" Lysander: Engine & Servo requirements?

Looking to build a 100" span (~1/6 scale) Lysander. These plans are from Bob Holman and he stated the prototype flew with an ST2500. Does anyone have any thoughts on using converted 31cc Ryobi engine? Was also considering a 4 stroke like a Saito 180 or something similar also. You can't beat the price of a converted Ryobi though. Also, would I need high-torque servos or would standard BB servos work?

thanks
