I didnt like any of the current model stands out in the market co I came up with my own that folds down flat. Here are some photos and let me know what you think. I've got the patterns for the legs if anyone is interested in their own. I got the wood and hardware from Lowes.

It can be as wide as you like. I made mine about 18''. I'll post the patterns for the legs ASAP and do a short construction sequence (I'm gonna build a few over the weekend). I'll include a list of materials too. I made two stands for my work tables and one with longer legs to take to the flying field. I really like mine and I thought I'd share now that the building season is getting started (Here in Houston the building season is our Summer! HAHA!)... Here is what the patterns look like. How do you post a .DXF file on here?

I'll post some more info tomorrow. I really didn't get much done over the weekend because the weather was perfect. I spent friday night topping off all my batteries and checking over a few planes before going to the flying field....

The height of the stand can be a tall as you like. The diagnal cuts near the end of the stock determine the overall height. I designed mine to allow me to work on my U-2 upside down without hitting the tail. The model is a little over 7lbs and the stand supports it fine.
