Converting To Dfx?????
It's a file format for CAD drawings. It's also the native file format for AutoCAD which is one of the more popular CAD's used in industry.
Many of the model plans on the net are *****.dxf files and you need a proper viewer to look and print or a CAD program to open them for look, print or modify.

DXF is abbreviations for Data eXchange Format which was developed by Autodesk to inter-talk with non-Autocad softwares. It was developed as a different format than the then popular IGES format. There are different standards and formats even within these which leads to non-compatibility. However, the standards developed about 1990 is not the current standard, but is by far the most numerous out there.
Some Cheap-CAD software will not accept either format.
There are some shareware viewers available over at CADALOG.

DXF is equivalent to a "text" file. Example: In AutoCad the extension is ".dwg". In CadKey the extension is ".prt". AutoCad cannot open the .prt and Cadkey cannot open .dwg. But if you save the cad file in a DXF format either software can open the file.
