Own made planes
I've built a few speed 400 sized own designs. A fokker D8 and a Japanese Oscar is in the computer now. I like to build from plans, and/or major kit bash. Mostly anything I would want is already out there, and I have more plans than i can ever build from in the overhead of my workshop.
BTW, the D8 did not fly well. I had too much motor in it. Maybe some day I'll put a geared gws motor in it to try out. Too much weight with a very overpowered plane means I was flying the motor around with insufficient control surface to keep it going.
Learn from the mistakes, and try again.

Yep, at least 1/2 the time. The latest is a rudder only plane to go back to my past.
Here's the thread about it in 1/2A. You can see a bit of the plans for it in the thread link in the first post too.

my first design
this is the first plane I have designed, I cheated a little by taking a wing i allready had and building a Fus for it, but the fus is totally my design and there are no plans for it at the moment, i just cut the pieces and hoped they worked.
heres the thread on its construction ---
