need help with cg on ultimate
Hi, I'm Mike and I just bought a scratch built Ultimate 10-300 and need help figuring out roughly what the cg should be. It has 60" wings with 10" chords, is 64" long and weighs 13.4 pounds. The plane seems close to the great planes in size, and was thinking of using their recommended throws with lots of expo as a starting point. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you, Mike.

Use this to find the mac for both wings, then Les' method.

That diagram is also typically Lennon'ish in it's conservative CG positioning. The Ultimate will most likely want it's CG back around the 30 to 33% MAC point.
Mtwister, I'll leave this here in case someone knows the answer but if it doesn't surface in a day or two I'll move it to the aerobatics forum where you'll likely get a faster answer.
In the meantime if you don't mind a bit more work you can look up the online CG finder in one of the sticky threads at the top of the listings. The one on calculators and other helpful links.
