Default What CAD program to buy.....

Hi Guys...
I've a nice new computer, it's a Dell with XP and I want to get into cad drawing for model airplanes.

Who make the best cad program for modelers ?

Bob, you have opened up a big can of worms. You will get a ton of ideas here. It depends on how much time and money you want to spend. If you want true CAD I think all will recommend AutoCad. Look through this thread and look for anything related to AutoCad. Also there is a fellow here "dreadnaut" who knows AutoCad and has been very helpfull to anyone who asks. Good luck

Thanks for the information. I'm in Thailand and the price of programs for your computer are so low...as to be almost free. I thought I would pick up what ever I needed...and then get started once I was back home. I stoppped by a computer porgram mall (yes...a mall with just computer program stores and related business) and I saw cad programs that were quite nice. I just didn't know which one's to buy there were so many.
