Library wanted
Hi guys, it's been a very looooong (hey, my post counter is even back at "1", has there been a reset of some sorts while I was away ?) while since I've been on this forum, but I'm back. An I'm back to beg
I was wondering if there is anyone who has an rc-related object library, suitable for AutoSketch. The reason I ask is that I'm designing my own micro heli at the moment. I started on paper, but today I acquired a second hand AutoSketch 9, and although I've never used a CAD programm before, I'm very eager to re-start the design of my micro heli (which, for the connoisseurs, will be a (at least in the first version) Fixed Pitch machine, more or less the same dimensions of a Honney Bee, Humming Bird, Dragonfly 04 and all the other clones of the same thing), however, mine will NOT be a clone, but an orriginal, featuring a fan instead of a tailrotor and other unique features.

I wasnt going to respond, but I just have to ask! WHY should I respond if I have nothing to contribute? Unless I just wanted to bump my post counter.
Dan, Just because you get few responses doesnt mean people are ignoring you. Libraries can be perticular to a given cad package. When I did symbols for cad at work I drew just enough to fit my needs. Wouldnt be of much use to anybody else.

RE: Library wanted
I think a few great library items to have would be servos, control horns, battery packs, switches, tanks, engine mounts, and engines. That way you can really get a really great idea how things would fit into spaces prior to building the model. I am not sure it would help DanCopper with his project but it would be great to have.

Will Autosketch import dxf or dwg files? My recollection is that Autosketch had its own unique file format. I hope I'm wrong.

Anyway, indeed, it is motors (electro), servos, receivers, ducted fans, speedcontrollers and that kind of stuff I'm looking for. As I'm starting on designing my own 300-class micro helicopter, and I don't have all the seperate components in stock yet, it wouldn't be very fun to finish a complete design, only to find out that I have to start all over again when I find out that this or that component doesn't fit into the frame.

Send a message to [email protected], and I will reply with some zip files of RC stuff in dxf format that I have collected from the web.
