Patience my young padawan. That's a pretty specific question. It may take a couple of days to find someone that knows the plans you're talking about.

I remember seeing pics of a Vulcan with a rear prop. If I'm not losing it I believe it was done by that eastern euro Pavel "something or other" in a magazine some years back.

I know what you mean Bruce. I never thought that plans have been done for Vulcan as an rc model in 60"WS size. I know one in UK that was scratch built and is powered by 4x90DF engines. Plus I just missed excellent deal on one couple days ago and that is how I got aware of its existence.

Many years ago I built a Vulcan from CAP (Complete a Pac???) kit from England that was about the size you describe. I seem to remember that most of their kits were developed from magazine plans. 60 pusher. Mine would not recover from a stall and flat spin.

The CAP plans are now available from Traplett Publications. The Vulcan is in their plans list.

The ones I have are easily modified for DF or turbine.

I believe that MAN had a set of plans very similar to the Vulcan in the size you're looking for. I might have them in my stash.

(copied from site)
Ron Fraser’s plan is designed for a pusher engine. The construction is straightforward yet different and is ideal for those modellers looking for something out of the ordinary to build.

Wingspan: 60" / 1525 mm
Engine: .60 2-strokes
Radio: 4 function

I have the vulcan as a complete-a-pac. Plans an all parts laser cut.
Still have not got round to starting it. Will one day though.

60" span. planning how to make the wings removeable.

Definitely making the wing removable, or just maybe the outer panels is a good idea. Although the plane when built isn't heavy, the delta wing does make it a big awkward to move around, and will require either a mini-van or pickup truck to transport!!

So you ended up getting this one also from under my nose'eh Steve, this is the model that started my hunt and i had that feeling that you might have ended up with it also, hey if you change your mind let me know before you list it for sale. Could you also post few pictures from different angles of this model, i like to see it if you don't mind as for making it with removable wing would be great option but i won't worry about it as i have a minivan just for these types of models...Regards

No plans to sell it or the accessories that came with it. At the very least I'll build a second one, and incorporate any changes that may come up (plug in wings, etc) into the next model.

I had / have a set of 60" plans from a English man. I did not find them on a quick search.
Will do another search later.

Bingo.

C.A.P. plan #16
Avro Vulcan
Designed, drawn & flown by Ron Fraser

A web search of..... Ron Fraser, Vulcan .....may work.
Since the real Vulcan is now flying in England again, The British RC forums modelers should be able to fix you up quicker.

sorry mate but i definately plan to put this model together one day.
Here is a link to where i bought the kit from.

http://www.angliamodelcentre.com/pro...products_id=31

Comes with plans, laser cut balsa and ply, abs mouldings, and clear canopy.
Price is a little steep.

If you want to cut the kit your self then you can get the plans from the Traplet RC Model World Plans and construction guide.
Plan No. MW2114. Much cheaper way of going about it.

Wow Leadfoot-RCU that Vulcan looks great.
Really clean lines, love it.

Do you have any pics of the construction or perhaps some video.
Also how do you find the flying qualities?

I'll have to update you the flying qualities a little later this year, once the weather clears, as it has not been in the air as of yet!!

And as much as I would like to take credit for the build, I cannot, as I bought it just as you see it from another modeler in my area. Fortunately the purchase also included enough accessories to build a second one, in which I would incorporate the plug-in wings, retracts (this one has fixed gear, though I might retrofit the retracts after it has flown) and whatever else might come to mind.

I'll see about shooting some video after the maiden flight has been done!

And Props, could you at least get the spelling of the plane right!! It's a Vulcan, not a Valcon!!!
