RE: AIRFOIL
at 36" it doesn't matter, a flat contour will fly slow, as good as a fancy curveiture/airfoil. only difference is the looks. the airfoil adds thickness and strength. ie double thickness- main spar, etc. dick

Hello Pablo!

RE: AIRFOIL
A NACA 0015 with a flat aileron added to the trailing edge was a favourite of the old super looper fun fly models. These were the sort of models that would take off, do 35'ish loops and touch down again in under 10 seconds. The were so light and so overpowered that they would almost bite off their own tail from looping so tight. Bet even with that the airfoil prevented the wing from stalling too easily.
A lot of folks these days like to do the fancy sudden stalling 3D style flying where they pitch up or down to a rapid stall and the model stops in the air to hang on the prop. The NACA 0015 with ailerons added won't stall easily like that. Instead this is why these models use the flat plate depron wings. For them it is the best airfoil. For the old funfly competition guys the thick one was the best.
Which way do you want to fly?
