Bending wire cabanes
I am building a WWI airplane and the plans show the cabane wire having a eyelet circle bend at the top for the wing to seat on and the hold-down bolt to go through. I can bend the wire for the landing gear but has anyone ever bent eyelet circles at the top? Please, please, tell me how you did it. Thanks!

RE: Bending wire cabanes
A right angle bend could be put in the wire and a tinplate clip soldered on . The clip would have a hole for the bolt. A simple jig can hold the parts in alignment whilst soldering.

A couple of photos will make it clearer. The tinplate clips were cleaned, coated with flux then crimped around the wires and soldered using a tiny gas blowlamp ( very cheap type ) all whilst held on a wood jig to simulate the wing.
