Thank you BMatthews I really appreciate it.
I must say it is almost six years and it has been a journey but there is still, some distance to cover.
At the moment she stood on her feet the feelings where overwhelming and it did feel like a commitment.
Kir.

Yesterday the plane stood on the runway for the first time. It was really exciting. The reason was to run some tests and not the maiden.
First impressions were really good except from the wheels that need replacement cause the current ones which are inflatable wont do the job.
So maybe I'll keep these for static display and use some other wheels for taxing. Here some pics from the field.

I just found this post after talking to my son about how someday I would love to build a large H-1. Absolutely beautiful job. Incredible amount of work. So what has happened? No posts since 6/15. Has it flown?

Hi Dmpanhead , the plane hasn't flown yet because after the first tests at the field, there was an issue with the balloon wheels. It seems that because they are inflatable, there
was a lot of wobbling during taxiing. So I had to order new ones. But at that time it was difficult to order anything with the capital controls and other issues. Anyway I finally
got to order the new wheels and I recently received them. So I hope that soon enough I would be able to move on and keep you posted about everything.
Here are the wheels.

The Racer had its second visit to airfield for engine break in and ground tests.
Here are some results.
RPM: 6400 Prop Menz 24/8
Static thrust: 15-16Kg
Range Check: >50m
Taxiing test: very nice handling on the ground though some minor wheel alignment adjustments are needed.
Back to the workshop for that and I think after that, the maiden is near.
Here are some pics of the racer at the field.

Hi everyone. I'm happy to inform you that finely last Saturday it was time for the maiden flight with a success.
The Racer is rock steady but maybe a bit nose heavy. But this is something to fix. I will post some pictures and hopefully some time soon a video also.
