I don't believe what i'm seeing here Dick!, last night i was reading my book on how Tu-144 failed by Howard Moon and in that book it also mentions about these earlier projects that Tupolev did and one of them was this ANT-20 aircraft, it has couple of good shots of it and i was just looking and thinking how cool project this will be to do as an scratch RC project powered by electric propulsion system.....If i were you i would increase the span to minimum 100"!, to me 60" WS for a monster plane like this is too darn small....

Subscribed!, we'll be watching it closely.....

Sorry, but 60" wwing span, fits in the back seat of the Crown Vict. 120" would have be carried on the car roof, do NOT have a trailer, it also fits in the remaining ceiling hanging space. it also keeps Nadine happy that all modeling is in one room or out in the barn, which is NOT air coditioned. fuselage structure, 28" long complete and tail feathers started. Well i understand if space is the issue you are facing. Wing could be built in 3 sections had you gone with 100" WS with center section as part of the fuselage and OB wing with wing tubes or center section as bolt on type also. Anyhow since you already have fuse structure built, it's too late for that anyways.

Looking good, your design is like how ole Sig and CG kits used to be at one time, nice and solid tank like structure!....

getting close to final sanding @ 8 oz. havn't decided yet about aielerons. still have make provisions for the 4 motors and landing gear. Nadine still warning me about NO more ceiling space available in the house, so guess the barn space gets filled. there's still many aircraft/planes to model and I'm still able to draw my own plans and build them. dick

Hello!

Is this going to be the original Maxim Gorkii version with the engine pod above the fuse, or the replacement?

Anyway, I have been wanting to build an ANT-20 for years...

Good luck!

Hey Dick,

Did you designed this model urself on cad or had someone do it for ya.

I'm very much tempted to ask you if, you can send me a copy your plans if i were to cover copying and postage charges to Toronto, Canada. I would love to make 100"+ model of this monster plane and do electric propulsion set-up on it....

I designed it MYSELF, from 3" 3 vu's from my bible, "World Encyclopedia of Cival Aircraft, Enzo Angelucci, Crown Publishers, ISBN O-517-54724-4. wee bit expensive, $50. 60" wing span is what I do, makes it easier to hang from the ceiling. my design activity goes back to the 1940's, as that is what I did for a liveing, full scale with Boeing and Martin aircraft corp's, also automotive with Hudson Motor Car and Chrysler, so enlargeing 3 inch 3 vu's isn't difficult. give yell if I can help you. dick

my plans are 60", upscaled from 3" 3 vu's by ME. build the model and then hang them up in bones, no covering. my bible is World Encyclopia of Cival Aircraft, Enzo Angelucci, Crown Publishers, ISBN o-517-54724-4, wee bit pricey, $50, but sure worth it. keep me posted once in awhile. dick
