WINTER PROJECTS 2010/2011
Ladies and Gentleman, I open this new post to see what everyone is planning to scratch or kit build....NO ARF or ATF lazies need apply to this post. Just the plan, drafter, or kit builder, Let us know what your gonna build. I myself is debating over a Junkers JU-87 V1 or the Dave Platt Spitfire. maybe even a Uncle Willies Grumman Goose....cheers

RE: WINTER PROJECTS 2010/2011
Man, that's an easy one.
Currently,on the boards:
Finish a Bud Nosen J3 converion to Super Cub.
A cowl for mold and parts for a 120" Gloster Gladiator.
A cowl and canopy molds and parts for a 145" B25.
A Cowl and fuelage molds for a 120" H1 racer.
A cowl and wheel pants molds for a 120" P26 Peashooter.
A fuselage and cowl molds and parts for a 120" H1 racer.
A fuselage, cowl, wing tips and lower ventral fin mold for a C206.
Build a full scale C206 on Wipline 3450 amphibs.
There are more items including a cowl and maybe fuselage for a 1/3 scale (148") P51.
Nope, I'm not busy...

1/4 RRG Prufling, 1/4 Nemeth Umbrellaplane and either a 1/4 Brandenburg 'Starstrutter', Lloyd 40.15 or Roland DVI. I have drawn the plans for all except the Roland which is an enlargement of the J.Kiger 1/5 set of drawings.

Theres no such thing as a winter project in my garage, I build year round. But if everything goes according to plan, I hope to finish up quite a few plane builds, projects, and rebuilds that I have been working on for quite a while. I want to finish up my Monocoupe 90-a built from plans, finish up a pitts s2s I started framing up a year ago, and also work some more on my 1/2 scale stits sky baby that I have neglected due to lack of time and to much school work.

Man,
I am finishing the project of a SAAB 90 SACANDIA with 110" inches, and finishing the construction of CONVAIR 440
METROPOLITAN with 82 " inches, and drawing a FAIRCHILD C-119 with 100" inches of wing.

How about a .60 size corsair by royal, it is true to scale in terms of size, meaning if scaled up it is an exact match to the outline of the full size corsair!
I've got the templates all drawn in cad which were done by my friend Kelsey_B
If you want them email me.

Do you have his contact info? I would save me a lot of time and effort if one is available.

Was told that Steed died, and someone new took over everything, including the retracts.

You may want to hold off a day or two on the Spitfire, for am finding the Trojan plans not too accurate.

Starting my build of a Hatz biplane. Using AMA plans but changing the fuselage to be built more like the Smith Miniplane fuse.
Has anyone ever built this plane?

I too build all year long, but I especialy like the winter because those evenings are so long and I get allot done. Plus, no yard work to worry about.
So, I'll be starting my 1/3 BUSA Super Cub soon. I should be painting and finishing by early spring.

My hope is to finally get a Travel Air 6000 on the boards for a 98" build. I've the plan, wood, wheels, and dummy radial in the closet ready to go and have finished other repair projects. The project has been a desire for a year now.

Hey Jeff, I'm going with a DA-150. Although I'm building N13Y it will not have retracts. (Not yet anyhow)
Also the single place means a smaller canopy to pull.
Wing will be in 3 pieces. center 60" and the two outers 51".
Also the tail will be removeable. To fit my trailer.[8D]
Later,
