Wing Washout?

I'm building a balsa/ply airplane from plans for the first time and am required to build the wing with some washout. This I understand is to reduce tip stalling, however what I'm not clear about is whether the 'washout wedge' is placed in a wing tip to wing root direction or TE to LE direction and would appreciate some guidance.
Thanks

RE: Wing Washout?

Derek,
pack up the TE at the wing tip by the required amount - this gives gradual washout from wing centre to tip.

RE: Wing Washout?

i.e the TE is higher than the LE.
Thanks
