Steerable Nose Leg
Hi guys
I'm scratch building a Fletcher FU24 (60 size). It wont be familair to many of you as it is a NZ built cropduster. Anyway, I need a quality forked steerable front nose oleo pretty much like a Cessna 182 front leg. The Robart one looks great but I need it to fit a 3" wheel and the Robart one is a max of 2.5". I looked at the Seirra one and I never got a response from the guy. Anyone got any suggestions? Cheers J |
RE: Steerable Nose Leg
Sorry I'm also looking for a nice set of treaded 3" wheels that are reasonably wide (the crop duster had wide wheels for wet fields). Thanks

J, get in touch with Robart. If you have the time, about six to eight weeks, and the money, a lot of it, they will make any thing you want. Dan.

RE: Steerable Nose Leg
Try Lee Robertson at Robinaire his email is [email protected] . He has built custom fixed gear with and oleo strut for the Ryan SC-W (see my avatar) and custom retracts for a Globe Swift as well. He designed the Ryan gear to have a 17 degree forward angle like the full size airplane and even machined a custom mount and fork to my specifications. PM with your email if you want a picture.
