Airfoil?
 

Does anyone have or know what would be a good semi-symmetrical airfoil for a low wing sport plane?

Yep agree that a NACA 2315 would be good. Or you could thin it slightly and go with a 2312.

Or for easy building you could use this Randy Randolph style airfoil that has a flat lower rear portion which fits neatly on the building board. As long as you can keep the weight from going out of control these will likely work as well as anything. Particularly if the wing will be open framing with film covering where the airfoil becomes distorted between the ribs anyway.

The 2415 and 0015 are both great. Dan.

My go-to 'semi' is the Selig S8036 as used by Top Flite on their P-47.

Thick & strong & behaves great at low speed, works well with flaps.

I even used it on my first turbine model (own designed) which amazes
people with it's slow approach & landing speeds. It's a bit draggy for a
fast jet model though. - John.

In the "old" days, the NACA 2412 was very popular for many manufacturers, when there were many manufacturers.
