Looking for Plans of Parc - Amber FU 2 Funfly

Hello everyone,

There used to be a British company by the name "The Parc - Amber Company Limited" which produced the "FU 2" funfly kits. I have a back issue of RCM&E of July '96 which lists the company's URL as http://connexion.parallax.co.uk/funfly/ but the url doesnt work and it seems like the company is gone now. I dont have access to RCM&E's latest issue and I dont live in UK. I am interested in more info on this airplane want to get its plans for scratch building.

Does any body know if the company still exists (specially the British users of this forum) ? If it does, whats the new URL and do they offer plans for this plane ? If the Company is gone now, does some one have the plans for this funfly ?

I would also appreciate if some one can shed light on this airplane.

Thanks a whole bunch,

61/2 years later you finally get a reply.
After years of searching I finally got a rough second hand FU2.
These kits did not come with a plan.
The parts where pre cut and an assembly booklet was all that was included.
I have the booklet with this aeroplane and am going to over the next weeks take templates of the aeroplane and draw up plans.
If you are still interested let me know.

I have inherited one of these and would love to know where the recommended C of G is.
Is it in the setup booklet?

TIA

RE: Looking for Plans of Parc - Amber FU 2 Funfly

I ended up taking templates off the air frame and wing etc and built a plane off them.
Turned out perfect.
But there was so much invloved I never transferred it to plans (too time consuming)
Beleive it or not, my new FU2 has been in storage (along with another brand new build) completely finished, radio gear the lot and has never had its maiden flight due to one of my flying buddies unexpectedly passing away at young age.
I lost the urge to fly, but it will come back.
Currently paragliding instead.

Colin
