    B-17 on Floats

Ok, well it took five years to actually do it.
YES, the five engine B-17 is a SCALE conversion. See GE in 1950 turbo prop development.
Got a hold of Ryan at Sea Commander http://www.seacommander.com/index.asp
with this idea and he practically fell over himself to help.
Do you think any of my buddies who came out with cameras to film the crash could take an picture of the plane in the air??? No way..all they could do was stand around with their mouths open in shock that it worked!! HumF!!!
Has now flown at fly-ins in San Antonio and even Bomber Field in Monaville,,but I worry that BB Weber the owner of Bomber field is still shaking his head!
Weighs around 12 pounds and will do rolls well..no guts for a loop.
Want a show stopper..bring that out of a Tahoe where no one knows you!! Instant friends!!!
    Just here to entertain,
    Twinman

    RE: B-17 on Floats

    Twinman,

That would definitely be a showstopper on Lake Tahoe. You could bring it out in conjunction with the Reno Air Races and schedule you own demo up on the Lake. As long as you have the horsepower to fly at 6000' you could probably gather quite a crowd.
