To-day finished covering the tail section.
Still some sanding to do to get nice round edges.
Hope to start glassing the remaining parts of the fuselage this week.

To-day drilled 16 square holes.
Could not finish nr. 4 nacelle as I ran out of 3mm magnets. Used them for the Dynam Catalina.
Ordered new stock at magnets supplier.
Also sanding the tail. Hope to finish the tail within a day or two......

Febr. 20th painted and balanced the props

Tested the nav. lights in both wing-tips.
The aircraft was equipped with one landing-light in the SB wing. She had another (retractable) light built in the nose on port side.

Assembled the engine supports. Glued the parts together.
Next job is glue the engine supports to the wing and test run the engines

Tested the engines. Nr.3 to be replaced as it does not run very well; bearing problem? No idea and ordered a replacement from HK.
Nr. 4 engine to be checked on a loose magnet.
Started glassing the remaining parts of the hull and continued working on the wing.
Finished nr.3 nacelle
.

Note: Before taping the balsa nacelle to the spray-can you have to spray the balsa with
a mixture of water and ammonia !!

LOOKS FANTASTIC - Very slick Paul....I like the way you cut the balsa for the nacelles; I'll have to remember that one for the future on my builds.

Hi Bruce,

Thanks again for the compliment !!, but the honour goes to my friend Bart who is the brain behind this idea.
After cutting, shaping, glue and sanding the edges I was surprised that both parts fitted perfect.
You can contact Bart about this item; look here:

For the time being I am glassing all parts of the aircraft. After this I will post pictures of parts that are finished

A nut of the wing-tip construction disappeared. Had to repair this.
