yes,, that why I had to kick up the angle,, they act more like skis than floats,, maybe I'll make up a new set,, they could still stand to be mounted further forward aswell,, I guess I was in a hurry and didn't really notice myself until they were on the plane. Just goes to show, there's more than one way to skin a cat

Here's a scan from a near 20 year old photo,, this was a 20 size elder I set up the same way,, this one flew great too

You can see the angles or more correct on that one

Reminds me of the Lou Proctor Antic on floats.

Yep, I think if they are put on the other way and a hair farther foreward, It will work real well. My plane sits at a really nose up attitude in the water. When the power is put on it rocks up and on to step lifting the tail completely out of the water right away. Kind of like a water skier with the ski tips sticking straight up out of the water and then at "hit it" The skier rocks right up on the skis. I suppose that with the nose up attitude, it doesn't hurt that the engine is pointed up as well and helps pull it out of the water somewhat.

Float fly tomorrow,,, so no better time than today to modify the rudder

I've felt the rudder needs to be a little bigger for a long time
