These gears are "Dumas" design.Do you use cnc machines ?

I bought a set from Robbie,, they came today and look fantastic.
I have more questions now though.
1-could you email me the reduced size CAD file so I can print out a template for the attach points or just give me the reduction %
2- which robostrut # do you have in the picture?
3-How did you plan on pinning the strut brackets
4-?? I'm sure I'll have more

I thought that I would use a robart 660 cut down. The shock sissors will have to be modified to shorten the shock absorber from 1" to about .5". I thought that I'd put a set screw in the brackets surrounding the strut along with J.B. Weld. I reduced everything by 10% and then reduced that 8%. I can send you measurements from point to point via email.

So you want to shorten the "droop" to .5",, I'll have to think about how to do that,,
I see in your mock up it seams you changes the strut angle from scale, I assume so you wouldn't have to bend the axle or the lower strut,, that seams like a reasonable compromise,, I was thinking I could always cut and re-weld that strut angle,, might not be worth the trouble though
should be a fun project

Curious if you ever did more work with this set up??
The set I bought from you has just sat in the bubble wrap while I worked on other projects, slowly,, I kinda lost interest and it's all up for sale now,,
I really need to stop doing that. maybe if you've made progress I can get inspired to tackle this project.

I haven't touched it since last fall. My business is winter oriented and have been too busy. I have the main gear installed on bulkheads in the plane. The air cylinders are installed and everything can be moved by hand. I'll post some pictures.

I ran some numbers on the Turnigy G60-500, using Markus' ecalc, and they look real good with 13x6.5 APC E props.(63mph and 17# total thrust on 41A apiece) That arrangement would allow going up or down in power and amperage by merely changing props, too.
