Default floats for a Clancy????

I've got a Clanzy Lazy Bee that I want to put on floats to fly out of my small pond. I know Clancy makes a float kit, but is there any other option??? Does anybody have a set that they might want to part with???

Default floats for a Clancy????

Hi Nick. An elder in our club flies his off a set of GeeBee floats. I know alot of people out there don't like GeeBee's, but I've seen this one fly several times and theres no problem. I fly my Aircore 40 floatplane off them too, and don't have a problem. Heres some pics from yesterdays float fly of Tex'x lazy bee.

And The Man himself, after another successful ROW flight.

Default floats for a Clancy????

I have had 2 BIG lazy Bees, mounted on the same set of BJ floats. (but mot simultaneously). The mounting was ultra simple. I just used wheel collars to hold them onto the stock landing gear wire. I added another lg wire under the fuselage somewhere aft and locked it in place with the hat-shaped landing-gear mounting straps. Before doing this, I slid the wire fore and aft to set the incidence.

LzBs are tall and narrow. They do not like to taxi crosswind. They like to flop over on their back in a crosswind.
