    sig Aqua-Star electric conversion question

    Hi,
I just purchased a Sig Aqua-Star sea plane.
It has a wingspan of 40"
and has recommended engines size of: .049 to .060
Finished weight will be approx 30oz or less.

I want to make this an electric sea plane.
I have not done done anything with electrics yet so I am a little in the dark about sizing electric motors.
I would appriciate it if someone could give me some information about what size electric motors would be equvilant to the .049 to .060 for this plane.

    Thanks in advance.

RE: sig Aqua-Star electric conversion question

there are a lot of threads on this plane, including e conversions, do some searches and they will pop up. The biggest problem this plane has is a lack of hull displacement resulting in a low position in the water and difficulty ROWing. Anything over 22oz will likely have problems. There are also a lot of threads over on the other rc forum.
