Default North Star maiden flight

I maidened my new B.U.S.A. North Star today...It flew great..My knees were a bit wobbley but the plane flew with just a few clicks of down trim to be hands off..It was a bit sensitive on the ailerons but not too bad..Wow what a thrill those puppies are...I have waited since January for this...I have a OS MAX 46 AX on it and it has lots of power....I am running a 3 blade prop... I flew it off the water . I do not plan on ever putting it on wheels.. Minn Flyer Helped me with the build..May he R.I.P. Also much thanks to Laddie Mikulasko for his help thru the buid..He designed a pretty cool plane...I pretty much followed the plans with a few minor mods..I tried hard to watch the weight...I tend to build heavy...I guess I did okay because it came off the water easily and flew beautifuly...

Love the NorthStars.  Never owned one but they are popular hereabouts.

What three blade prop were you running and what did you get for max RPM? Weight?

Congrats hope you have many, many enjoyable flights.

I've got three 46AX's: on an Arrow, a Shrike and my own delta wing "Bullet".

Most power and speed is the 10x6 APC on 15%- about 15,000 on the ground with a Macs muffler.

To slow them down a bit for less noise I use a 10x7 MAS 3 blade- 12,000 or so.
