Looking for suggestions on what floats to get for my new Thunder Tiger 82" J3 Cub that I plan to dedicate to float flying only. Looking for something in the mid price range.
All suggestions wellcome.

The float size you need should be 75-80% of the fuselage length. I have the VQ floats from Hobby People & they are 36 inches long.

any 40 size float would work pretty well - Great Planes, Hanger 9, Sig, Goldberg (if you can find them)..

I looked at the TT website and got the specs on the J3 Cub. Any float around 34-38 inches will work. The step should be a half inch to one inch behind the CG. The center of the floats should be between 1/4 to 1/5 the width of the wingspan, so toughly between 16 and 20 inches. The front of the float should extend beyond front of the plane by an inch or two. A water rudder will help during windy days or slow speed taxi. You can get them from MaxfordUsa here:
