Default WIDTH OF H9 1/4 SCALE CUB FLOATS?

How wide apart are the H9 1/4 scale Cub floats with the supplied hardware. Center to center width please.
Thanks.

I am using a DLE 30, the lake that is in the video is at 4000 feet. So the extra power is needed. You could use that in Colo. I have flown at lakes up to 9000 feet with electrics just add a bigger prop and your good to go. You have to keep up your speed but other than that it is a lot of fun.

I go up to Twin Lakes too, that is at 7200 feet.

Here is another video from Lake Hemet https://vimeo.com/27220388 it has a electric 110 running 8 cells, I really had to change a lot on this plane to get it flown.

Glad I could help, by the way I used to live in Lakewood the Estes Park and had friends in Littleton, great town.

I'm actually in the shop throwing a DLE 30 in it right now. Based on your vid, it will be way more than scale power even here in Denver. 9500' density altitudes lately. [:@]

Yes you have been pretty hot up there lately. Where do you fly floats? Chatfield dam? I had the fuel lines melt inside the cowl once so be careful around the muffler. By your online name you must be a pilot for United. I got to get into the training center at Stapleton with my sons, humbling to try and land a 737. Not good.
haha

Yep, furloughed Airbus driver.

The parks will not allow floats at Chatfield. The Arvada club has 2 locations we fly at north of Golden.

Must be around Broomfield. I believe that there are some lakes there, next to Rocky Flats?

Have fun with your Cub. The one thing that I did before flying those floats was to glass the bottom forward of the step. Those floats can break around 8 inches in from of the step. I ran two layers over the front and three layers down the middle. Now they are stronger and will not pop.

Hope that helps

Seaplane supply makes some great foam floats, I think flat bottoms are the best. http://www.seaplanesupply.com/

Make a video when your finished I would love to see your plane on the water.
