Iguess Ibetter get the struts repaired! Last time out Ilanded and in making a turn one float rolled 90° and into the prop. Really flimsey struts!
You can see the results in this image (after Ireplaced the prop and ran it to get any water out of the engine). Really the floats are toosmall for this model, butif Ikeep the speed up she stays upon plane.
Hoping to have a twin engine flying boat ready as well - my first electric!

Looks like a fine job putting some beef in the legs Charlie. There is a float fly scheduled next Sunday 4/7/2013 at Moon Lake Park
put on by the WyomingValleyR/C Flyers.

I haven't been able to make it the last couple of years but it is a fun group to fly with and i hope to get there this year.

Just finished the throws and trims on my Widgeon. Have the throttles mixed to the rudder so I can choose to drop out the inside engine in turns when taxiing (below 40% throttle). No need for a water rudder (or so I hope).
So I'll have the Widgeon, my Maxford Mentor-G and my Saratoga 40. Should be a good time and a full car!

Charlie, you are way out in front of my sea plane efforts. I too have a twin of a different design that I should have had
ready this coming weekend if work hadn't taken me from the home and hanger. It's good to have the work but
I was looking forward to that quality time. Oh well, if it isn't done in time for the float fly I surely will enjoy seeing all
of your birds fly.
Got any pics to share?

Not much that hasn't been shown. It's up to you (and Phil) to get the images while I'm submerging my darlings. ;-)
Just some teazers 'till Ican get out and get her wet.

Yes sir, that is beautiful. What is this talk of submerging? You got one of them thar RC sardine cans or something?
That Widgeon should stay afloat just fine with the step plug in place.

Ding Ding ding - Float Fly Update!
Redneck RC has upped their generous contribution for the pilot prize kitty with the addition of a
NIB Flyzone Tidewater seaplane. Marty and the crew continue to provide generously to our RC community
throughout Upstate New York. If you haven't availed yourself to their personal service and support you
don't know what you are missing.

RE: Binghamton Spring Float Fly Splashdown May 18th & 19th 2013
I think I'll make the road trip up on Saturday(looks like a nice day.....so far !). I met someone from your club at our float fly at Moon Lake last month and talked about electrics, batteries, and he flew a small depron floatplane and "landed" it on the other side of the lake!
I had the yellow Kadet,, orange Mariner, and the Hansa Brandenburg W.29.
Hope to see you there !

Hi Brian, you are being most generous about the landing at the otherside of the lake. A clear case
of too much wind and not enough pilot sense. We did have a good conversation at the water side regarding lipo
care and diminished capacity due to continued fully charged state.
We would enjoy your company at the float fly and hope you can make it.
