Few years older since my last post, but not much sign of aging with the little "Skippy", still going great.

20 years of depressing snow showers was just about enough for my liking, nothing beats the sun and the beach. Bit of earthquake at 3.3 RS woke me up this morn, rather non existent event in this part of the globe.
Just fitted little kicker to the belly of my "Skippy" to see if it helps rotating off the calm waters. The wind just picked up, the last thing I needed for the test.

Unfortunately the skid in above picture didn't work, it created too much drag so another few modification was made till it worked to my expectation while doing trial and error tests in the lake. Finally yesty had perfect conditions to run both models with great results.

"Skippy" saga continues, now 4 years in action, no sign of wearing out, few more flights in log book today with slightly higher water chop but doesn't seem to affect the model with my "Skid/kicker" innovation. Bit of action of flying when I'm not flying!

It's been wet-wet and wet, perfect timing to build another "Skippy".

Another water plane addition to my fleet.

Skippy Gold Edition on the way.

New colour scheme with touch of gold.

Extra 1.5 deg. added to the "Skid Kikker"

New look next to 6+ YO work horse.

Ready for water action after range and short check hand launch.

The Golden Edition runs immaculate after few flights off the HO2, and my good old original had a first dry down wind hand launch beside few EDF jets.
(Skippy dry down wind H/launch)

Bit of Skippy variety.

Gold Edition day out.

Runs immaculate after all the modifications.

Old work horse doesn't give up even on down wind h/launch.

Up wind flare.

Despite all the rust building up on all metal parts the Skippy is still alive.
