Default G & P Sales 81" PBY Catalina

Hi Guys
I've just purchased the G & P 81" span Catalina kit and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this model. I'm unsure at this stage what I'm gonna power it with, I've got a pair of ASP 52 four strokers but i'm a little worried about the finished weight\wing loading.
What steps should I take to keep the water away from the radio gear?
Has anyone got any ideas for a simple means of retracting the tip floats? (I was thinking modified servoless undercarrage retract mechanisms - maybe)
Has anyone got a copy of the build video from G & P that they could share?
Has anyone got any flying and water handling tips?
Any help would be much appreciated

I have the kit from the about 1990..also have the VHS tape, as far as I remember the tip floats were pneumatic. My kit/tape is in the U.K. and I'm in Dubai so I can't help for a while.
Chris.
