Default Four Star on floats

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has ever put a four star on floats. I am currently building a four star 40, and think that it would be much more fun to fly than a trainer on floats. Information and pictures would be nice.

I've had 2 4 star 40s on floats and they fly excellent. They just seem to be very graceful on landing(take offs are nice too). I'm currently putting floats on my clipped wing 4 star 120 and hope to fly it at the midwest regional float fly in Michigan this year.

Hi Guys--John here from Calif. I'm currently working on a 4 * 60 on floats. Have any of you had any experience with Sea Commander floats? I've heard they are good, so I have a set coming. 42 inch should be right for the 71 in. wing span, right? Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, John the Wine Country Flyer

I too have a 4*60 on floats. It flies fine with a Super Tigre 75, but I'm thinking of putting a 90 4C. They look great in the air.............

Go to this URL: [link=http://www.foamcorefloats.com]Niagara Floats[/link]

In the Gallery, there is a Venture 60 (which is an updated 4*60 by the original 4*40 designer). There are several photos of the floats and struts.

Generally, you can order a second landing gear from Sig and install a 1/4 ply plate in the fuselage bottom just behind the wing so the gear clears. Your floats mount to the gear. I easily did this on a Sig Fazer for my first float plane.
