Thanks Nony, I've got about 30 more rivets to place and it's done!!! Then paint and wait for my Dave Patrick super cub, ordered it in white last Dec. with no N numbers, supposed to be in the end of this month.

HvyDvr: yours too! If the angle was a little lower it could easily be taken for the real deal.

Here's a few on my Lanier Pro Cub on floats. It is a great little flyer of water. They are the GeeBee floats. going to paint them silver later on to make them look better.

Thanks for the compliment. My buddy on the camera said the same and would have done it if he would have had some hip boots. The water there is shallow some distance out.

Here's mine. Super sized RCM 60 from 1980's with K&B 61 and Sullivan floats. Had it out on the lake today. Didn't see any 'gators. I'm originally from New York. Came down to Florida last September. Great flying weather. I'm in my glory.

Heres my Carl Goldberg 40 Cub, 72" wing span, OS 46 with pitts muffler.
Sounds good with the muffler. I have two flights on it off wheels. I just finished up installing the floats and will fly it tomorrow off water. I have a Neptune seaplane also.
The floats are Great Planes balsa with epoxy over 4oz fiberglass cloth.

Yes, the view is still there - but the house and my shops , and planes are a thing of the past - Thanks to Hurricane Katrina. it wiped us out 10000%. now relocated to Greensburg, La. No water, but acres of pasture and lots of cattle. model building is my main occupation, all 60" and all 60 of them in bones. Nadine says that my next move is to the barn with the rats. NO model builders within 30 miles of me, Clinton, La. field is the closest, how ever it's all Beautiful giant ARF's, NO interest in builders. anyhow, for me it's build- build, all to my plans. upscaled to 60" from 3" 3vu's, out of my bible, "World Encyclopedia of Cival Aircraft", Enzo Angelucci. dick stamm

How well do the amphib floats work on a hard surface? The nose wheels look a little weak for a bounced landing.

Here's the last two float plane projects of mine. A GP 40 size cub (kit) and SIG LT40 (kit), both with a OS 55 ax. Both are in the balancing stages in the photos. Float flying takes the hobby to another level, in my opinion.

Very nice. What is the name of the plane?

I have been looking at the Boeing B-314 which Pan Am called the Clipper. You plane looks much like it, except the Clipper has sponsons on the bottom of the fuselage instead of the wing floats.

It is a 1935 to 40s short solent built by the short brothers around the same time as the clipper. Here is ivans site and you can go to luke z s site from there and catch my build and others plus videos of the master himself flying his solent. Iam roadking 97 on lukes sight in the solent build section. Enjoy joe http://ivansplans.com/
