Flying off water is so coool!!!!!!!
I am new to flying off the water, and must admit it is the coolest thing.
I fly every Saturday and Sunday off land, and used to look forward to flying every weekend. Now I look forward to the next float fly or opportunity to fly off the water. I envy people who have as many ponds and small lakes as we have cars in Southern California!!!!
They can fly off the water at any time.
For those who have not tried it, you are missing out big time.
I only have two planes with float right now (70 overall!!!), but will surely have many more soon....
I have a .60 cub and a Sig Somethin Extra on floats. How low can you go inverted over the water? was the game we played at our last float fly. Skip won with 1 inch (I saw the rudder slashing!!)
Anyone who wants to sell a plane with floats and who is local in Southern California, please contact me.

Flyzone:
Throttle Management!!!
Looking forward to flying off Huckleberry Pond.
How would you think the L-4 would do with floats? Do you think the engine is enough to lift it with floats?
