Default Stupid redundent things...

Picture these possabilities for a chuckle.

North Star on flosts or a Sea Master on floats.

I have a Sea Master I converted to a twin and just tried to picture it on GeeBee floats just to be REAL different, what's wrong with me?

Sounds like you work for the "Department of Redundency Department".

No, he works for the Defense Department. Or maybe NASA.

But how about floats on top so you could take off and land it inverted. Or both top and bottom.

I once saw a twin engined pusher canard float plane. Didn't fly well though.

There is always Laddie Mikulasko's Aquabird, a floating, flying bird of prey. RCM plan #1125. It does fly well.

Oh, jettisonable floats has been done a lot. Sometimes both and sometimes only one, but I don't know if any of them were intentional!
