RE: My PBM project
Well I have about an hour's work to finish this off. Just the throttle cables to connect and prop hubs to fit, and that's it. Then I have to find somewhere with enough water to get it airborne.
I figure it's taken about 250-300 hours total.

I did have a copy of that pic neons. It came off the net somewhere.
I still haven't flown my Mariner; not enough water close by. I'll have to drive at least three hours to a suitable lake, and I don't mind doing that, but I'll need a few guys to support, and I don't think they're willing.
This drought has to end some time!

RE: My PBM project
Thanks Sparkie.
It still hasn't flown, but has been ready to do so for a couple of years. The drought here in southern Australia, the lack of a reasonable expanse of water, the time to get to one have all conspired to ensure it stays on the ground.
I've been building and flying other models, but the Mariner will fly, and hopefully soon.

It probably is Bob, but I haven't been idle, building and flying other aircraft. There hasn't been much of that recently though with strong winds for months on end in Melbourne.
Ther is an added complication; I got my self back into music, and spend a couple of hours a day on saxophone. It's just what I needed, more impositions on my time. I also spend a few months a year overseas, so everything is conspiring to keep the Mariner in the hangar.
