Default Du-Bro Seabird

I recently acquired an original Du-Bro Seabird. I had the same arf kit in 1975 with an Enya 60III/ Northfield Ross muffler, 12x6 TF prop. CG issues led to its demise..Never flew it off water. Yes, I'm familiar with the comments regarding the Lanier Seabird, etc. I will be modifying the original Du-Bro version with sharper step edges, chines, lighter tail, etc. Does anyone remember whether the Lanier version had the block of foam in the nose ? I will post a build on the other RC website.
