Default My float Biuld

I started building on wednesday night. I used a foam core which doesn't abosrob ANY water at all and a thin balsa to cover up the foam. I think i will end up covering... They are 36" long and 2 inches deep. and 3 inches wide... I tested the one closest to being done and it easily held 5 pounds... The cub will weigh somewhere around 8 so i should be fine there. I hope to have there done by next week. Heres the pic

Just one question Newb. I've never seen grey foam like that. Is it stiff like styrofoam or soft like foam rubber?

JRF, It is more on the soft side. It will bend instead of break. It seems to hold up pretty good. Will Test again tommrow when i cover the second one in balsa. Balsa is expensive, So i will be doing a ribbed design for the sides instead of 2 strips across

wheres the steps ? unless your plane is massivly overpowered you are going to have a very hard time getting off the water.
