Default Swoop Plane on floats

morning guys. another experiment under way. putting My Swoop Plane on floats, one large one in front and two small ones under the twin lower fins. will be another experiment. got to start using my private flying field, in front of the house. dick

Could be-- BUT its not across the street from your house. we also ignore the small amount of salt in the water. at low tide its all sand beach. fresh water flush after flying isn't a problem. have room for 15 cars, come visit. dick

another morning and this is what its supposed to look like. static water test this afternoon afer the yellow glue dry's, will keep yaall posted. dick the bay is a mill pond.

NO, its not OK gave it the water test and the single frontfloat was a good idea that doesn't work, not enough floattation so we go to the 2 front float configuration. the tail floats are ok. this is what scratch building is all about. dick

slight correction in the name-- I called it a Swoop Plane-- Stand corrected. found my old photo of the originator-Ted Patrolia with his plane, which he designed in 1948. and still flys @ AMA oldtimer flyins in Pensacola,Fla.ITS now known as the COBRA. dick

here is todays status on the Cobra. floats good and level and high. now to add rear main float strut to keep them level in flight, cover them and go flying. dick

That sure is an unusual looking bird, but it is very cool!

Is it as humid in MO as my wife says it is?
